We are proud to present for auction some amazing clothes belonging to the fabulous
MICHELLE
PHILLIPS
of Mamas and Papas fame, as worn by her in her glittering career as an actress in films and TV.
This selection was worn by her in her role as Anne Matheson in “Knots Landing”, the glamorous “Dallas” spin-off, also starring Joan Van Ark, Michele Lee, Ted Shackelford, Donna Mills, Lisa Hartman and others.
The clothes have been worn only once or twice and have been well-looked after by Ms Phillips ever since. They are all by top designers, such as Ungaro, Vicky Tiel, Thierry Mugler, Genny, and Nolan Miller. Most were bought at Neiman Marcus. If the winner requires a certificate of authenticity, we will be happy to provide one, notarized.

First, we have a Vicky Tiel original, made in France. A two-piece flowery suit, made of silk with black velvet trim. Original cost - $5,000. Made in the late eighties. European size 38. Like all the clothes on this page, worn by Michelle's character in Knots Landing just once.
Here we have a yellow gabardine suit by Ungaro, made in Italy, size 8 USA. Also from the late eighties and original cost of $5,000. Waist is 26.5 inches, and skirt is 22.5 inches.
This is a Thierry Mugler suit, European size 36, made in France. Pink top, 25 inches long with a 26 inch black skirt. (the flash on our camera makes the skirt look gray in some photos but it IS black!)
This Thierry Mugler black Suit, made in France, was worn by Michelle’s character Anne at her father’s funeral. Original cost - $4,000. Bought at Neiman Marcus. European Size 40.
This is an Ungaro, made in Paris, in red gabardine, with black velvet trim, USA size 8, original cost in the late 80s of $5,000. Waist 26 inches, skirt 24 inches. Skirt has two pockets. (Again, our flash makes colors appear different.)
This is another Ungaro, made in Paris and is a gold lame dinner jacket, USA size 6. We discovered that the buttons had been moved from their original positions but they will be able to be moved back by the new owner if they want to.
This superb dinner jacket is made by Genny of Italy and is USA size 6. The 'tank top' was made specially for Michelle to be worn under the jacket. Trim is satin. Measurements: Waist 30 inches - Sleeve 23.5 inches - Back from top to hem 25 inches.
This is a Nolan Miller special, custom made for Knots Landing! Made of white silk, with black silk piping. Skirt waist is 26.5 inches, length 20.5 inches. Jacket: Waist 28 inches.
This superb mink coat belonged to Michelle before she joined the cast of Knots Landing and it was her suggestion, accepted by the producers, that she wear it on the show in Anne Matheson's first ever appearance on screen! The coat has Michelle's signature sewn inside! This ankle-length coat is in excellent condition. Measurements: 52 inches long, cuffed sleeves 27 inches. Bought at Neimen Marcus.
This is an Ungaro dinner jacket, made in Paris. Wool. This exquisite jacket has hand made buttons, with roses and pearls, no two alike. Measurements: USA size 10. Shoulder to shoulder - 15.5 inches - Sleeves 25.5 inches Waist 27.5 inches. back 21.5 inches to lowest point.
